Best Wine in Italy

The best wine in Italy comes down to opinion. But if we're discussing Italian wines that can be stored in your wine cellar for at least 10 years, there are three groups of Italian wines that land in the "best" category.

Some of Italy's best and most iconic wines include Amarone della Valpolicella, Barolo, Barbaresco, Chianti, and Brunello di Montalcino.

There's a second group of best wines in Italy which are moderately known outside of Italy. But much less than the first group. Those include Taurasi, Sagrantino di Montefalco, and Aglianico del Vulture.

There's a third group of best wines of Italy that are completely unknown outside of the local areas of Italy where they're made. There are many wines with aging potential that don't fit inside the first two groups.

And those wines are included in our Italian Wine Cellar collection here at Italian Wine Store. Make your wine collection interesting by trying some of Italy's best wines from this third group.
