Gianluca Battaglio is the owner and winemaker of his family's estate in the Langhe. Only his 5 family members cultivate the vines and harvest the grapes. This is one of the cleanest and most fresh Barbaresco's I've come across in the region. 

Battaglio handcrafted between 1200-2000 bottles of Barbaresco per annum depending on the vintage. 

Full body, with a welcoming front palate, soft like pillows, fruity like handpicked cherry, fresh like the crisp air of the alps, with a full mid-palate that expands inside your mouth, and a climatic finish full of red fruit, spices, rose petals, and confident finish; classic Italian dry style. Tannins are well-integrated and never obtrusive. Decant this wine 2 hours. It will continue to open up until the next day and dazzle your palate for a lifetime.
